ONE OF THE BEST PARTS OF BEING IN CHI OMEGA IS THE STRONG BOND OF SISTERHOOD
From fro-yo and TDR dates to club events and traveling abroad, American University Chi Omegas become part of a tight-knit group of women with connections beyond our letters.
Thanks to our Sisterhood Chair, Chi Os have a number of fun activities every semester! Some of our favorites have included hiking, pumpkin patch visits, weekend workout classes, study breaks, and of course our "owl pal" dates!
Each semester, we have sisterhood events and an all-chapter retreat. Some past events have included hiking, field games and a ropes course challenge. With every new class, our newest members go on their new member retreat for sisterhood bonding, fun games and an unforgettable time.
Chi Omega hosts several events every semester. Some include Crush and Semi-formal where we take our friends and dates to our favorite venues and dance the night away! Our 20th Anniversary Gala two years ago remains a favorite, as do our holiday traditions: Thanksgiving potlucks and tabling for our Founder’s Day.
Besides our formally planned events, Eta Lambda sisters are always doing fun activities together like brunching, relaxing on the quad and adventuring around D.C.
Hanging out with sisters goes beyond the school year! Chi Os go on spring break together, visit each other's homes over the summer, travel abroad and much more!
BIG LITTLE WEEK
This is definitely a highlight of the spring semester!
Big-Little week is full of pampering our new members with baskets and gifts galore made especially for them! They receive clues before finding out who their big sister is and on the last day, she'll finally reveal herself and welcome her little into the family line!
